Wild Carrot (daucus carota)

Wild carrot is a beautiful flowering plant with a tall stem and a wide flat flowering head. Insects love it because if its multiple flowers and because it has a flat top which makes it easy for them to land on and move around.

It is also known as Queen Anne's Lace as it contains one red flower at the centre which is said to be a drop of blood from when Queen Anne pricked herself with a needle whilst lace making.
