Summer 2026 - We’ve been working with a group of trainee Occupational Therapists from the University of Northumbria, who are spending their placement time with us here at Scotswood Garden. During their weeks in the garden, and with the help of our volunteers, they have created a wonderful sensory trail for everyone to enjoy as they wander through the garden.

 

The trail includes a series of sensory points designed to help people pause, notice small details and experience the garden in a more mindful, connected way.

 

They have also developed a companion app which offers prompts and activities at each stop. Link and more information coming soon!
