Growing Together -adult volunteering

Our Growing Together project provides thrice weekly volunteering sessions focused on improving physical and mental health and wellbeing through gentle outdoor work, as well as gardening training, work experience and support for people looking to get back into work.

Our experienced garden staff team of Sean, Leanne and Andy can provide tailored, individual support to help people learn and develop new skills while also improving their health and wellbeing. The friendly, informal setting of the garden provides a safe and supportive environment where people can grow and flourish! The Growing Together team take part in a wide range of activities including seed sowing, planting, weeding, bee keeping, watering, pruning, path maintenance, wood work, landscaping, fruit picking, cooking and crafts. Accredited courses in some aspects of gardening and vocational skills are also offered and there is always plenty of time to enjoy the garden, have a cup of tea and make new friends. We work hard to ensure that everyone feels included and welcome, and that all our volunteers are able to learn and develop at the pace that suits them.

Sessions run on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and are open to everyone aged 18 or over. This project is supported by Lloyds Bank Foundation and European Structural and Investment Funds.
