Early Explorers is open to west end families with pre-school or home-school children under 5 and their siblings.
Led by artist & Forest School leader Jyl Friggens, we build foundations for learning and connection to nature and take part in a range of seasonal activities that promote mindfulness and creativity, including: clay work, mark making, weaving, tinkering, potion making, creating and reading stories, finding creatures and using our imaginations, especially in our very popular mud kitchen!
We're always outside exploring the wider garden, creating and sharing. You'll need to wear clothes suitable for the weather that you don't mind getting dirty and shoes with covered toes (no sandals, and please wear long sleeves and trousers as our wildlife environment contains stinging nettles, prickles and thorns). We have spare jackets, wellies and hats you can borrow to keep warm, dry and occasionally out of the sun!
This is a family session and children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. For more information please contact Nicky on 0191 275 0000 or nickyThis email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
