Forest School Alumni Network

Thanks to everyone who attended our first training sessions this year - the Whittling workshops in the spring and our Alumni Get Together this summer. Thanks for all your feedback too. We're working on expanding our range workshops for the next school year to support qualified Forest School leaders. We recognise that sometimes this role can feel a bit isolated, so we plan to offer you more CPD sessions and more opportunities to connect and share with others.

Next Alumni workshop: Cooking on the Fire

A practical refresher and skills development CPD session for trained Forest School practitioners. This session will develop your confidence in cooking over a fire — from managing heat and choosing the right equipment to applying safe, effective food hygiene outdoors — while exploring creative, seasonal campfire recipes to use with your groups.

All alumni CPD sessions are run by our own friendly and knowledgeable staff. 

When: Thursday 8th October 2026, 4pm-6pm

Where: Scotswood Garden, Yewcroft Avenue, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE15 6TU

Cost: £30 if you did your Forest School training with us, £40 if you did your training elsewhere.

Entry requirements: Level 1 or a Level 3 Forest School qualification
